Develop an understanding of Healthfirst’s unique business model, with a focus on financial data and trends Attend meetings with cross-functional teams to learn how the Finance department supports operational decision-making Assist in analyzing financial data related to all Healthfirst’s products and gain experience in interpreting membership, cost, and revenue trends to identify improvement opportunities Minimum Qualifications:Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Will not require sponsorship for employment. Eligible to work in the U.S. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school. Preferred Qualifications: Students currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program, or an accredited Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Math, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related programs Proficiency in SQL Work experience with Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, formatting, sorting, formulas such as VLOOKUP Self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work independently and collaborate through strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience managing projects Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare programs Knowledge of healthcare data (claims, diagnosis and procedure codes, etc.) At this time, Healthfirst will only consider applicants who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require visa sponsorship from Healthfirst now or in the future, to retain their authorization to work in the United States.
