What You’ll Do. Prepared dough for breads, rolls, bagels, pizzas, and other bakery items. Bake a variety of products including cookies, cakes, bars, muffins, pies, doughnuts, and desserts. Prepare icings, fillings, toppings, and sauces. Package and check finished products for delivery to campus dining locations. Load carts and assist with distributing products across campus. Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, fryers, slicers, and scales. Clean equipment and maintain a safe, organized work area. One year of experience in an institutional or commercial bakery, preparing baked goods in a high-volume environment. Experience with packing, loading, and verifying customer orders for accuracy and quality. About IUS Dining and the Bakery. ISU Dining is a high-volume, multi-unit operation serving students, faculty, staff, and guests across campus. The bakery team plays an important role in daily operations by producing fresh baked goods that are distributed to 20 dining locations across the university.
