The role of the Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement, QHS, is to lead the organization to fulfill the intent and mission of its founders, Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV. In doing so, the Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement leads with the value of its founders and commits to preserve and honor The Queen’s Health System’s (QHS) unique heritage. As a key member of the QHS executive leadership team, the Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement is responsible for establishing the strategy, direction, and culture of the organization consistent with its mission and values; developing and achieving corporate goals, objectives, and initiatives; and, implementing procedures to adequately safeguard the assets of QHS. Leads a culture of high reliability, standardizing quality patient care, building/strengthening networks, engaging in continuous process improvement, maintaining high patient/staff experience and utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to achieve quality and superior services across the continuum of care through alignment with QHS strategic goals and initiatives. The Vice President is a visionary, high-impact leader who will transforms our sourcing and supply chain strategy. This person is a strategic architect who will pivot the procurement function from a transactional service center into a consultative, value-driven powerhouse. This Vice President will be an expert in building influence across the C-suite, fostering deep partnerships with internal stakeholders, and leveraging data to drive competitive advantage. The Vice President serves as the foremost authority on all supply flow including sourcing, logistics, contracting, receiving and inventory management. The Vice President has accountability for companies and areas assigned. Other areas of responsibility and organizational wide initiatives and programs may be assigned. II. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: - Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree required. - Master's degree in business, finance or engineering or related field preferred. B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: - Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) or similar certification preferred. C. EXPERIENCE: - Fifteen (15) years of experience in supply chain management, procurement and planning or related experience. - Five (5) years in a senior leadership role. - Demonstrated proficiency in supply chain software and analytic tools. - Demonstrated ability to drive change, optimize processes, and implement innovative procurement strategies. - Data-driven approach to decision-making. - Demonstrated success managing supply chain P&L and driving cost savings, efficiency and scalability. - Proven track record of successfully implementing projects and initiatives which have major impact to an organization. - Strategic thinking and the ability to influence decision-making at the executive level. - Experience in a transformational setting is preferred.
