Temporary Position: Assistant Dive Coach

This part-time position is responsible for assisting the Head Swimming and Diving coach in the management and administration of all phases of an intercollegiate sports program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and the University. This position requires adherence to all policies and procedures of the Athletics Department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). The position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to manage multiple tasks. Duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting with a variety of functions: on deck coaching at practices and competitions, teaching/instruction of student athletes about the sport, recruitment of new student athletes, academic supervision of the athletes, travel coordinating, program management and other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Position Number ATH 135 Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Intermittent Part-Time (30-40 Hrs/ Wk) Salary Information $1,600 per month Posting Detail Information Posting Number T 0200 Minimum Education/ Experience/ Skills Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Education/ Experience/ Skills Collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires the knowledge of NCAA Division I athletics dive program; Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations; Knowledge of Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) preferred. Work Schedule and Hours This is a temporary position. Flexible hours, evenings and weekendsas determined by the business need.
