Receive and manage digital accessibility complaints submitted through the Digital Accessibility Grievance form across all PCC campuses. Route grievances to appropriate parties, track progress, and ensure timely resolution. Collect and analyze grievance data to support reporting and continuous improvement. Consult with faculty regarding accessibility compliance of third-party software (e.g., Cengage, Pearson, Mind. Tap). Coordinate and produce alternate format textbooks and course materials (e.g., Braille, text-to-speech, electronic text) in alignment with ADA and Section 504 requirements. Ensure all alternate format requests are completed in a timely manner to support equitable access and legal compliance. Maintain accurate records of students receiving alternate format services for institutional and state reporting. Share service data with the Director to support program evaluation and planning. Provide on-demand instruction to students, faculty, and staff on assistive technology tools and software in classroom and lab settings. Assist students and the Testing Center with assistive technology, alternative format testing, and testing platforms. Support students access to accessible software and testing tools. Collaborate with the Accessibility Center team to prioritize and manage daily alternate media workflows. Work with e. Learning to support accessibility initiatives. Create and manage a D 2 L shell for the Accessibility Center to support internal users. Host workshops for faculty, staff, and students on document conversion and accessibility practices. Supervise and train student employees assisting with alternate media production. Ensure consistency and quality in production processes. Communicate equipment and software issues to the Director and coordinate with IT for resolution. Assist students with disabilities by connecting them to campus and community resources (e.g., Learning Center, TRIO, Library, Career and Counseling Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation). Support equitable access to academic resources and services that promote student success and wellness. Additional Functions. Works independently with little supervision or as part of a team. Assesses individual and department work processes and recommends improvements. Complies with State Fiscal Rules, State Board policies, System and College protocols, and departmental procedures. Obtains and maintains proficiency with required systems and equipment. Maintains confidentiality of student and employee information as required. Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline. Serves on committees and other groups as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Education. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution Experience. Two years of higher education experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities. Knowledge of laws, accreditation standards, and best practices pertaining to assisting students with disabilities and teaching assistive/adaptive technologies. Knowledge of pertinent federal and Colorado laws including FERPA, ADA, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Ellucian Banner. Able to lift 15 pounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations. Mobility around campus.
