Commercial HVAC Service Manager (Boilers and Hydronics) - HVAC/ Plumbing - Base Salary to 140 k/year - Gypsum, CO - Our client, a well-established HVAC and plumbing service provider with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead and develop a team of 8 technicians and plumbers. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in commercial boiler systems, hydronics, and HVAC service operations, along with proven experience managing service department performance. This position will oversee day-to-day service operations, technician productivity, and financial performance, while partnering closely with dispatch, customer service, and leadership teams. While primarily office-based, this individual will provide occasional field support to troubleshoot complex systems and support technicians. Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and develop a team of 8 HVAC technicians and plumbers supporting residential and commercial service work, with a strong emphasis on commercial systems Oversee daily service operations including scheduling, dispatch coordination, and technician productivity Manage and be accountable for a $5 M service department P&L, including revenue, cost control, and profitability Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support on commercial HVAC systems, boilers, and hydronic systems Conduct ride-alongs, hands-on training, and regular team meetings to drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction Partner with dispatch and CSRs to ensure efficient job scheduling and high service levels Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard technicians to support growth and maintain team performance Qualifications:8 years of hands-on experience in HVAC and/or plumbing service 4 years of experience managing service technicians or field teams Proven experience managing a service department P&L of $5 M or more Strong expertise in commercial boiler systems and hydronics (e. G., Cleaver-Brooks, Lochinvar) Experience working with low-voltage controls and system diagnostics Strong technical knowledge of HVAC service, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance Compensation:Base salary in the 120 k - 140 k/year range, plus performance-based bonus.
