Vice President of Talent Management - Industrial Distribution - Base Salary to 200 k/year - Charlotte, NC - Our client is a privately held, mid-market distributor serving safety-focused and mission-critical industries. With several hundred million in annual revenue, a national footprint, and a strong growth trajectory, the company is focused on scaling its operations, leadership capability, and infrastructure over the coming years. They are seeking a Vice President of Talent Management to build and lead the company' s enterprise talent strategy. This role reports to the President and oversees HR through a Director of HR Operations, allowing primary focus on talent strategy, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness. This is not an HR administration role. This is a builder role, responsible for creating and scaling the company' s talent engine in alignment with business growth. Responsibilities:Build and execute the company' s enterprise people strategy aligned to business growth and operational priorities Design and implement a multi-year learning and leadership development roadmap Build and lead systems for: Succession planning and talent pipelines Companywide talent reviews and performance calibration Leadership development across all levels Bench strength and internal promotion readiness Establish frameworks for identifying: Ready-now leaders 1- 2 year successors Long-term leadership pipelines Improve performance quality and talent differentiation, increasing overall talent density Partner with executive leadership to translate business needs into practical, executable talent strategies Provide oversight of HR operations through a Director of HR Operations, ensuring strong execution in compliance, employee relations, and core HR processes Build scalable systems that support growth without adding unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy Qualifications:Bachelor' s degree required Progressive leadership experience in talent management, organizational development, leadership development, or enterprise HR strategy Proven experience building or significantly upgrading talent systems from the ground up, including multiple of the following: Succession planning frameworks Talent review processes Leadership development programs Performance management systems Enterprise learning ecosystems Demonstrated ability to create practical 1-year and 3-year talent roadmaps tied to business goals Experience improving bench strength, internal promotion readiness, and leadership capability Experience leading through others, including oversight of HR operations via a direct or indirect leader Strong business acumen with ability to connect talent strategy to revenue growth and operational execution Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption without relying on heavy process or large teams Experience operating successfully in a lean, growth-oriented, non-corporate environment Experience within companies of approximately 150- 1000 employees Compensation:Base salary in the 175 k - 200 k/year range Annual bonus program Full benefits package including healthcare, PTO, and 401 k#INDALL
