Provides day-to-day supervision of radiologic technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization. Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance. Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards. Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires. Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development. Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects. Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance. Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals. Other duties as assigned.
