Our global food manufacturing client is a seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Finance Specialist for a 4 month contract opportunity. This individual will support end-to-end payroll processing, timekeeping system management, financial reporting, and compliance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll execution while also supporting finance, operations, HR, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities. Payroll Processing & Timekeeping. Process payroll accurately, correctly, and on time through daily validations, crew sheet entry, and approvals Balance payroll registers to TAS, Kronos Time & Attendance system, or other payroll systems Generate accurate payroll reports using payroll systems Maintain TAS or Kronos Time & Attendance system (or other systems), including upgrades and enhancements to ensure accurate reporting of hours paid Respond to and resolve hourly payroll issues, and may support salary payroll issues as needed Ensure adequate backup support is available for payroll duties Perform audit controls by tracing payroll processes for any employee Resolve payroll discrepancies and support issue resolution. Finance & Accounting Support. Prepare and enter data for monthly financial close, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Pull standard reports and share with finance and business teams as needed. Maintain trackers and spreadsheets for key financial and operational metrics. Perform basic data validation and escalate discrepancies to appropriate teams. Reconcile P-card usage and resolve blocked invoices and GRIR issues. Calculate pension payments for current employees and health insurance payments for active and retired employees. Generate reports as needed for regulatory purposes. HR & People Support. Assist with training and development of hourly workforce. Promote Diversity & Inclusion standards and support company values. Ensure compliance with all regulations, food safety standards, and K-LEAN processes. Support production execution and assigned operational projects. Identify and escalate risks impacting plant performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned
