This position is responsible for administrative support in the Dog and Cat Program. This position is the first point of contact for the Dog and Cat Program and will be responsible for incoming communications from constituents, industry, and staff. This position will involve professional day-to-day office functions, with the opportunity to work within a variety of programs and duties. Job Duties: Duties focus on administrative support functions: main phone line, communications incoming and outgoing, electronic scanning, indexing documents, mailing, material development, data entry, learn general understanding of the programs to answer questions, organization of files, review documents for accuracy and assist with the processing and collection of fees. Requirements / Qualifications. Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Some Agriculture background preferred due to technical terms and knowledge but can be learned on the job. Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Seeking good communication skills, like to work with people, experience with modern office equipment and technologies, some writing skills, ability to multitask.
