Advanced Care Practitioner Physician Assistant - Certified OR Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Monroe Correctional Complex Monroe, WA. Monthly salary: $11,071.00-$18,145.00 The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Advanced Care Practitioner (ACP) for the Monroe Correctional Complex located in Monroe, WA. This position may be filled by a Physician Assistant-Certified or an Advance Care Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). The PA/ ARNP objective is, under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director, to deliver quality health care to MCC's patient population in a timely and professional manner. promote a healthy lifestyle and provide patient health-care education. This will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating the multitude of medical problems encountered. Additional objectives include monitoring, managing, coordinating and delivering health care and counseling, consulting of health services. Major administrative responsibilities include supervising and monitoring all level of health care services delivered to the Incarcerated Individuals population and assessing Health Service Managers and the Facility Medical Directors in monitoring expenditures, planning and organizing health care services, facilities and other programs. Practices in accordance with DOC Policy and the WA DOC Health Plan, participates in Health Services Quality Improvement activities as appropriate and participates in formal Clinical Oversight according to Facility and DOC Health Services Clinical Oversight structure, Clinical oversight will be provided by MCC Facility Medical Director. Duties
Uses tools, techniques, physical and cognitive skills and abilities to practice safety and effectively in the correctional setting and within the scope of practice as defined by state law and administrative code so that patient care provided is safe, effective, efficient and clinically appropriate:Assessment, monitoring and interpretation of objective and subjective data collected about the health status, clinical condition or situation of individual families, observation, inspection, and examination to identify patterns and variances from the desired outcome. Diagnose health related problems and determination of the outcome. Ensure continuity of care. Deliver healthcare, define time frames and pathways for delivery of services, and determine priorities and sequences care is to be provided. Delegates and assigns responsibilities: Thorough and appropriate communication. Teaches, instructs, monitors, supervises and evaluates. Other tasks as assigned:Participates in and evaluates their own practice
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants. OR - Must possess a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse AND possession of a current license designated as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Washington. AND - Must hold unrestricted license to practice as a midlevel practitioner and prescribe scheduled drugs. Licensure (PA-C, RN, ARNP) must be valid and continuously unrestricted. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working as a mid-level health care provider at a correctional facility. Certified Correctional Health Professional by Academy of Correctional Health Professionals. Education: Master’s degree in Nursing and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner certification OR graduated from a Physician Assistant training program.
