Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule:Day. Time. Mon 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM - Tue 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM - Wed 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM - Thur 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM - Fri 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to post instructions. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government location buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with directional questions, and support orderly movement of people throughout the location. Communicate with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public personnel regarding incidents, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters observed during patrols. Minimum Requirements:A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
