Plan and execute technical projects to drive continuous improvement projects. Analyze, summarize, and integrate project results in collaboration with project team members. Design, coordinate, and perform experiments to develop new processes and enhance manufacturing techniques. Lead team activities to reduce variation in critical processes, targeting Cpk values = 1.67. Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address process and device issues. Apply planning and problem-solving tools (e.g., PFMEA, fault tree analysis, event tree analysis) in team settings. Provide training and technical direction to support personnel. Establish and document equipment and process operating specifications. Develop Out of Control Action Plans, Troubleshooting Guides, and Corrective Action assignments for process failure modes. Provide disposition for affected processes, tools, and lots as needed. Solve complex process integration problems both independently and within teams. Communicate regularly with management and cross-functional groups to ensure alignment on process engineering needs and challenges. Prepare and present reports to management on project status and experimental results. Collaborate with other technical groups within and outside Microchip to exchange technical information and stay current with industry developments. Engage with the Microchip Learning Center to understand process flows, company culture, and expectations. Shift 1st. Requirements/ Qualifications:Required Skills. Demonstrate proficiency with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Apply mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and analytical methods, to practical situations. Utilize advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and algebraic principles. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally. Define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using strong analytical skills. Lead problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives. Solve practical problems involving both abstract and concrete variables, including interpreting nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas, scientific equations, graphs). Read, interpret, and analyze scientific and technical journals and procedures. Work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills. Demonstrate proficiency with advanced mathematical concepts such as plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, calculus, matrices, solid-state, and device physics.
