About the Role: - - Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices and procedures proficiently to accomplish analytical work. Supports education, communication, and marketing of capabilities; as well as providing analytical support to both internal and external clients. - - What You’ll Do: - - Process, prepare, and maintain critical analytic databases for client projects. Develop advanced specialized maps utilizing geographic and demographic information using programming, database, and graphic skills. Extract demographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports. Provide support to the project and account managers on client projects. Perform quality assurance on all products or services being developed for clients to ensure product is meeting specified requirements. Interface with clients as their primary database support resource and provides those clients database support as it is related to the maintenance of their solutions. Support clients and internal resources in the roles of map development, geocoding, database development, database manipulation, and database design. Perform other duties as assigned. - - What You’ll Need: - - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in Geography or related field; or Associates degree or equivalent, with training in GIS technology. 2 years experience required. GIS Certification preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and able to communicate with people at all levels across the organization. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Advanced proficiency in ESRI Arc. Map, Maptitude, Map. Info, or other GIS-related technologies required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
