The Mgr., Informatics (IC)- Encounters (Sr. Encounter Technical Analyst) leads the successful delivery of analytic solutions to meet contractual and organizational requirements, interacting directly with internal and external clients and colleagues. They leverage technology and data to improve encounter outcomes by designing, implementing, and maintaining systems, analyzing encounter or claim data, and utilizing technology to support encounter workflows and decision-making. Applies expertise in healthcare and information technology to ensure efficient data management, maintain data integrity, promote data-driven insights, and enhance the delivery of encounter information. Fundamental Components. Under general direction, independently executes analyses or reports to meet business needs. Mentor and train other analysts within the department on day-to-day activities and/or encounter analysis. Act as a team lead and/or mentor for complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks in support of company objectives. Performs applied statistical research and custom analysis of integrated healthcare data, interprets results, and makes recommendations based on findings to business areas and assures the integrity of the data. Makes recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition and evaluation methods. Defines and delivers solutions in support of encounter business initiatives that drive short- and long-term objectives. Develops and presents analytical and performance reports to clients and stakeholders. Collaborates with internal and external partners to identify root cause and drive solutions. Responsible for project commitments to quality and on time deliverables. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently. Leads and participates in the development and prioritization of system updates. Executes test scripts and reports outcomes or defects. Willingness to understand and probe into technical details. Contributes to a motivated work environment by working effectively to achieve common goals. Required Qualifications 3 years of relevant programming or analytical experience. Including development and experience with writing complex queries. Advanced SQL programming abilities in data warehouse or big data analytics environment, including use of statistical analysis techniques or business intelligence application development. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability. Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams. Understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses. Demonstrated project management and/or team lead experience. Experience in working in a data warehouse environment as well as the ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources. Preferred Qualifications. Knowledge of analytic programming/reporting tools and methods (SAS, OLAP, Business Objects, Tableau). Health care analysis, health economics, or health services research experience. Claims/ Encounters experience. Education. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type. Full time. Pay Range. The typical pay range for this role is:$60,300.00 - $132,600.00
