This opportunity entails supporting project and program teams through the collection, analysis, and reporting of key project metrics and performance data. The Business Analyst I – Reporting & Metrics assists in configuring and maintaining reporting tools, databases, and workflows to support project tracking, dashboards, and executive ready reporting aligned with project, client, and HNTB needs. The role collaborates closely with cross functional teams to gather data, develop reports, and communicate insights that support informed decision making. Responsibilities include building and maintaining reporting structures, supporting dashboard development, assisting with documentation and work instructions, and contributing to training materials related to reporting systems and processes. The position also provides limited oversight support to the document control team by reviewing instructional materials and performing quality checks to promote consistency and accuracy across documentation practices. This position typically supports projects of moderate complexity and works under the guidance of the Sr. Program Controls Manager on more complex initiatives. What You’ll Do:Supports requirements gathering and configuration work sessions by documenting results regarding project requirements and procedures as related to their application and use within project management tools. Drafts project procedures based on those requirements, contractual documents, and input from project team. Builds workflow diagrams to graphically represent business processes and procedures. Develops supporting training documents for system administrators and project personnel with guidance from Senior Business Analyst. Supports training to project team members and system administrators. May act in system administrator role on projects of low to moderate complexity. Supports more experienced Business Analysts in all functions and responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology or Business and 2 years related experience, or. In lieu of education, 6 years IT business process analysis, quality management system development, and/or project controls experience. What We Prefer:Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics for projects or programs, including collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking of project information. Exposure to database development or data management, including organizing, maintaining, and retrieving project or program-level information. Familiarity with transportation projects, preferably involving the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) or similar agencies. Basic understanding of project schedules, cost data, or project controls concepts. Experience assisting project leadership by providing analytical data, summaries, or insights to support informed decision-making. Additional Information.
