Develops and validates electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems, subsystems, components, interconnects and structures. Coordinate, test, and verify EMI/ EMC requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various Boeing systems. Develop EMI/ EMC Control Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports. Perform EMI/ EMC analyses and implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces. Develop the evaluation of supplier data and design drawings to verify and correct system design to EMI/ EMC standards. Assist with EMI/ EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to Boeing and FAA requirements. Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statement, budget, and schedule. Perform HIRF/ Lightning and Antenna Coupling analyses and test. Apply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems. Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analyses to predict component, interconnects, and system performance and to optimize design. Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/ EMC analyses and test. Assist with EMI/ EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to Boeing and FAA requirements. Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issues and performing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested. Provides general mentorship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 3 or more years of related work experience. Engineering experience with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) or E 3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects)Willing to Travel Domestically and internationally as needed. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience):9 or more years’ related work experience 13 or more years’ related work experience. An ABET accredited Master’s/ PhD in electrical engineering. Experience with relevant aircraft electromagnetic standards including RTCA DO-160 Experience in a role which required knowledge of DO-160, IEC-61000, and/or FCC part 15 Experience do you have with CST Studio Suite, ANSYS EMIT, FEKO or similar RF modeling software. Experience leading teams on complex projects.
