Lead Process Technician / 1st Shift Req ID: 48941 Job Location (Short): Ames, IA, USA Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Power Solutions Segment Job Category: Supply Chain and Operations Work Location Type: On-site The Impact You'll Make Support the factory services team including inbound/outbound material flow requirements and inventory processes. Monitor and troubleshoot processes and equipment used to support activities in shipping, receiving and inventory. What You’ll Be Doing Provide technical support for the shipping and receiving areas and is the next level of escalation after the team coordinator for warehousing issues related to safety, process quality, and material flow Understanding and adherence of EH&S Policies Participates and leads daily RCPS/ DPP activities and projects, uses Root Cause Problem Solving to solve issues Assists in the prove-out of new processes and process changes by gathering data, making observations about the process, and communicating ideas to improve results Ability to create business cases and submit AF - Es to financially support Cap. Ex projects Assist with document updates such as Standard Works and Standard Operating Procedures What We're Looking For Minimum of an AA degree or equivalent from a technical school and six (6) months related experience; or five years’ related experience in lieu of degree. Desire for 4-year technical degree and/or hands on experience in operations. Proficient with MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Ability to collect and analyze data to make/propose business decisions Knowledge of ERP systems including inventory managed/warehouse managed environments (Preferably SAP) Knowledge of LEAN principles Experience with AUTO CAD, Ignition, and Fleet Manager is a plus Ability to utilize diagnostic equipment (e.g. measurement devices for current, pressure, flow, temperature, torque, etc.) Ability to read electric and hydraulic schematics is helpful- MS-Office Soft skills: Proactive- Sense of responsibility- Strong Communicator- Team-minded Able to interact with all levels of organization (shop floor to management) Proficient with basic hand tools Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
