Reliable transportation is a must, buses may not run late enough for some shifts. Be able to work on your feet for the duration of a shift. Skills and Knowledge The ability to read, write, count, and follow instructions. The ability to communicate well with the public. Follow instructions and established procedures to perform duties. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: (varies based on position) Support and execute event operations, including setup, service, and breakdown for catering and concessions Deliver exceptional customer service to guests at sporting events, concerts, and campus functions Assist with food and beverage service, including serving, running food, bartending, and guest support Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards Supervise and coordinate staff to ensure efficient daily operations and compliance with policies and safety standards Assist with scheduling, payroll processing, and workforce coordination, including union and temporary staff Monitor inventory levels, support ordering, and track operational data to maintain efficiency and cost control Contribute to menu execution, food preparation standards, and overall quality of service Support training initiatives to ensure staff are knowledgeable in service standards, safety, and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams (culinary, operations, logistics, and administration) to support event and dining success Assist in maintaining operational systems, equipment, and technology to ensure smooth service delivery Provide administrative and operational support, including staffing coordination, documentation, and process improvements Perform additional duties as assigned to support dining, catering, and event operations Physical Requirements Must be able to work in conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold, both inside the facility and outside. Will be required, at times, to work outside in inclement weather conditions. Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 50 lbs. to waist height or higher. Must be able to push/pull at least 75 pounds. Must be able to walk for several hours at a time throughout the shift. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Must be able to perform extensive bending and flexing at the waist. Must be able to repeatedly rotate (twist and turn) head and torso. Must be able to frequently and repeatedly squat or stoop to the ground as necessary to complete tasks. Must be able to reach arms overhead. Must be able to repeatedly lift up overhead and lift down from overhead items of at least 45 pounds overhead. Must be able to work in extremely dusty or dirty environment. Must be able to hear and respond to equipment notification beepers, horns and bells, as well as verbally communicate with other staff. Must be able to walk and carry items up and down stairs and ramps. May be exposed to products used for cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Tools/ Equipment The specifics will be based on job duties, example: hot boxes, cold boxes, electric sterno, hot plates, chaffers, etc.
