The Creative and Design Solutions Principal Designer is the Project Lead on multiple projects, providing strategic direction and oversight across cross-functional design development teams. This role operates independently with a high level of autonomy, driving programs from product planning and early concept development through final production. The Principal Designer leads multiple PI - Cs and team members within a diverse design development environment, coordinating and executing the full range of automotive product design activities\u 2014 including styling strategy, consumer research integration, original design creation, concept development, and early-phase evaluation. Also ensures design functions are effectively adapted to meet departmental and organizational objectives. This position oversees, presents and manages original design strategies and leads the implementation of selected directions ensuring alignment with project requirements and business requirements. Key Accountabilities. Leads the project(s) scope and deliverables for Full Model Change and Minor Model Change and guarantees proposed output based on the Department and the direction of the Global Design Director. Provide strategic direction across the full project scope ensuring the creative maturation and design excellence of approved strategies and themes at the business level. Designs and presents project materials in a highly professional manner for all required events and evaluations, ensuring stakeholders clearly understand each proposal. Leads and guides the development of all 2 D/3 D and digital assets documentation for evaluations and team presentations, delivering high-quality packages for the Department Lead and Global Creative Director. Independently develops strong creative solutions to feasibility challenges, providing clear feedback to HDMA and project teams to realize the approved design theme. 10 Formalize cross-functional alignment on styling schedules and deliverables to ensure seamless, on-time execution of project deliverables. Ensure Communicate with all PI - Cs, team members and customers (Internal and external) frequently to promote high level timely project output. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills. Minimum Educational Qualifications:Bachelor\u 2019 s degree in industrial / Transportation / Product Design / or equivalent relevant work experience. Minimum Experience:At least 8 years of relevant experience. Styling (FMC/ MMC PL experience)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. Advanced planning, analytical, and presentation capabilities, with strong negotiation acumen. Proven experience leading design projects from concept to execution. Other Job-Specific Skills:Strong leadership, communication, presentation, creative & technical skills. Advance level experience in Photoshop, 2 D/3 D Sketches/ Rendering, PowerPoint, Figma, Blender, Alias, and illustrator knowledge required. Advance Catia knowledge.
