Duties Responsibilities Utilizes all components of the nursing process to provide patient care and serves as the coordinator for delivery of care as defined by the multidisciplinary plan of care. Evaluates and documents patient response to a plan of care. Takes appropriate action regarding untoward response to interventions or changes in condition. Evaluates and documents patient response to medication administration and treatment plans. Utilizes effective communication techniques at all times, including verbal, non-verbal, and documentation of patient assessment/outcomes. Facilitates a patient-centered experience by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends and families. Recognizes patient/family educational needs and utilizes appropriate education strategies/techniques to fulfill these needs. Promotes a culture of safety by utilizing appropriate safety equipment and seeks out opportunities to teach others about the importance of the utilization of safety equipment. Qualifications Current SC RN license required 0 1 year experience for entry-level staff nurse positions Additional training and/or certification may be required to meet standards of care within specific departments. Critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize care delivery based on individual patient needs and complexity of patient workload and assessment findings. Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organization.
