The Contracts Intern position serves as an integral member of the Contracts Department. The Contracts Intern – Data Management position is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to create accurate, actionable reports. This role bridges the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making, ensuring that stakeholders receive timely insights to measure performance and improve business outcomes. This position will offer the candidate the opportunity to interface internally across various functional counterparts such as Programs, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Property, Mission Assurance, Government Compliance, Security, etc. and to facilitate process improvements for data integrity and compliance. Responsibilities: - Establishes standard processes under the guidance of mentor(s) for configuration control of program management data, proposal submittal data, and other TBD data sets. - Gathers data from various sources (e.g., Data Warehouse, CRM, ERP, contract-related systems, Excel sheets) to create a unified view. - Validates raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness before generating reports. - Analyzes data sets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and system data entry issues. - Reconciles variances between reports and investigates discrepancies as needed. - Maintains SharePoint lists and develops routines to automate data collection and report creation. - Distributes and/or presents data findings as needed with a goal of developing unique dashboards for controlled user access. - Responds to ad-hoc data requests from management and cross-functional teams to support immediate business needs. - Supports Contracts Operations team with preparation of internal and external audit responses, contract closeouts, reporting, systems data management and all other tasks assigned. Job Description:Duties/ Responsibilities - Co-op will rotate working between multiple groups within Department to ensure a base knowledge set is experienced for comprehensive professional development. - Provide assistance to a team, including, but not limited to, clerical duties, processing paperwork, customer service or performing data entry. - Performs other duties as assigned. Program Requirements - Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program. - Must be a U.S. citizen Skills/ Abilities - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment. - Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities. - Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability. This position can be partially hybrid remote, however being in the office, when appropriate, is an important part of this experience.
