In this area include assisting with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) planning, participating in realistic cybersecurity exercises conducted on a live cyber range, and supporting SOC training, operations, and event management. Hiring Salary: $120,000 annually. Responsibilities:Create and assist in the documentation of processes, procedures, and other activities as it relates to the SOC. Work and develop security applications for operational security (SIEM queries, Defender queries, runbooks, etc.)Analyze and respond to security alerts. Provide timely updates and resolutions to end-users. Prepare detailed threat advisories with recommendations and indicators of compromise. Research trends and current precautions for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, exploits, and other potential threats. Assist in training junior staff and new student SOC analysts and getting them acclimated to the environment. Develop and implement a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) ecosystem specifically tailored for Florida’s rural electric cooperatives. Provide the participating rural electric cooperatives additional cyber log monitoring and other services through Cyber Florida’s Security Operations Center Apprenticeship Program (SOCAP). Provide access to Cyber Florida’s Aligned Realistic Cyberattack Simulation (ARCS) Range, and utilize it for education, training, and IT/ OT exercises for the participating rural electric cooperatives. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or other field involving software and analytical training, and one year of IT-related work experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and two years of IT-related work experience, OR a Master's degree in a related field, OR a combination of four years of IT related work experience and validated training. Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training. Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree. - Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate ( Session/ Bill/2023/1310) is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. - SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements - A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed: - (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; - (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; - (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree; - (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or - (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree - Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment. - Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in developing and delivering cybersecurity training exercises and simulations. Data analytics experience is desired. Incident Response experience is desired. Familiarity with industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. Project management experience, including planning, organizing, and executing complex initiatives.
