Direct daily administrative and business operations supporting all laboratory research activities. Provide strategic communication and logistical coordination for ongoing and proposed research initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory and institutional offices, including the Office of Research Services (ORS) and Grants & Contracts. Manage the complete grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budget preparation, and justification. Oversee post-award financial management for federal and private sponsored projects. Administer sponsored project finances using BANNER and EDDIE systems. Process and monitor journal vouchers, budget transfers, and other financial transactions. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to sponsors and stakeholders. Conduct detailed monthly reconciliations to ensure fiscal accuracy and transparency. Administer subcontracts, consulting agreements, and contract modifications through OVCR electronic systems. Oversee subcontract invoicing and payment, tracking compliance with contractual milestones. Collaborate with laboratory leadership and Quality Assurance units to develop and maintain regulatory policies and procedures. Enforce T-Card and P-Card compliance, including reconciliation of Chrome River transactions Minimum Qualifications Required:1. A. Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, business administration, management, or a closely related field. ORB. Three (3) years (36 months) of work experience in accounting, business administration, fiscal management, or closely related experience. ORC. A combination of such education and/or work experience totaling three (3) years (36 months), as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)60 semester hours or an Associate’s Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)Preferred Qualifications:Extensive experience in pre- and post-award research administration. Demonstrated expertise managing complex research budgets and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of federal and private sponsor regulations and compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Expert-level proficiency with BANNER, EDDIE, I - Buy, and OVCR electronic submission systems. Experience with fund accounting, budget forecasting, and financial reconciliations. Strong interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
