The part-time Administrative Program Assistant (AA) to the Director of the Center for Research & Fellowships (CRF) plays a vital role in supporting undergraduate students’ academic and professional development through research and fellowship opportunities. By managing office operations and coordinating key program activities, the AA helps sustain the infrastructure behind high-impact initiatives, including nationally competitive fellowships and undergraduate research programs. Working closely with the Director, this role ensures that CRF programs run smoothly and that students receive timely, high-quality support as they pursue ambitious academic and post-graduate goals. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Office management and clerical support. Communications and workflow management. UK Fellowships application management. Work Interactions The role does not have supervisory or personnel management responsibilities, though occasionally the AA may offer indirect management of non-FTE employees, for example, undergraduate student workers, interns, etc. The AA will interact with a wide variety of campus constituents in managing various research, fellowship, and Honor Council programs; this includes interacting with faculty, staff, students, foundation heads, and senior administrative leaders. Requirements and Qualifications. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an advanced admin role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of administrative tasks with exceptional attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree required; experience in higher education preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Strong collaborative orientation, with a proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to work across structures and with individuals at all organizational levels. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to maintain and handle confidential information with integrity. Experience supporting nationally competitive fellowship processes—particularly the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships—preferred. Work Mode Designation. This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
