Looking for a fun, flexible role outdoors? Join our team supporting sand volleyball and outdoor basketball leagues! Open to applicants ages 16 , this position includes evening shifts (6–9 pm, Monday–Thursday) at parks throughout the city. You’ll assist with setup, work with officials, and help create a safe, positive game environment. Essential Functions Provides oversight of league games to maintain fair play and promote good sportsmanship. Records scores and statistics during games. Coordinates with officials to ensure games begin at scheduled time. Ensures the safety and well-being of all participants which includes checking floors and facilities for any safety issues or concerns. Inspects equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order and notifies supervisor when items need repair or replacement. Prepares materials such as score sheets and supplies for games, and assists participants with player roster and pre-game assignments. Performs tear-down duties and ensures all equipment is accounted for. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience playing or coaching sports or experience officiating or supervising league programs. Knowledge of:Specific league play rules and regulations. Ability to:Interact with coaches, officials, players, and other participants in a professional and courteous manner. Enforce league play rules and regulations. Keep score and limited statistics. Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations. Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance. Complete assignments in a timely fashion. Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations. Maintain prompt and regular attendance. Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training. CPR Certified. Special Requirements.
