FPM Remediations, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist for a mid-level full-time position at its Chandler, AZ office. This is an excellent career advancement opportunity for an individual with approximately 3-8 years of relevant professional experience to join a team of dedicated and knowledgeable environmental professionals. This position will provide an opportunity to apply the latest technologies to conduct site investigations, data analysis, and remediation of contaminated sites across the country for our clients. The role is ideal for a technically strong candidate interested in developing as a well-rounded environmental consultant, with experience or interest in site assessments, field investigations, data interpretation, GIS/data visualization, and technical report writing. Primary Responsibilities:The position will support projects at locations around the United States. Responsibilities will include:Supporting site investigations and environmental assessments involving soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air Assisting in development of Conceptual Site Models (CS - Ms) to evaluate site conditions and contaminant behavior Participating in field programs, including environmental sampling and oversight of data collection activities Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors (e.g., drilling crews, surveyors, remediation contractors) Supporting preparation of technical deliverables, including Remedial Investigations (RI), Feasibility Studies (FS), Work Plans, and reports Managing and evaluating environmental data, including data quality review and integration into data management systems Preparing technical reports, figures, and visualizations, including GIS-based mapping Interpreting data and providing analysis of site conditions and contaminant behavior Supporting evaluation of remedial solutions in accordance with regulatory requirements Applying analytical and quantitative tools (including modeling, as appropriate) to support project objectives Supervisory Responsibilities:Provide guidance and support to project teams involved in field investigations and technical document production. Assist in coordinating daily activities of field staff and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherenceSupport mentoring and development of junior staff. Education and/or Experience:The Environmental Engineer/ Scientist/ Geologist II will have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with coursework in chemistry, physics, and mathematics 3 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental investigation, site assessment, data analysis, or remediation support Experience supporting field investigations, data interpretation, and technical report preparation Familiarity with environmental data management, visualization, and GIS tools is highly desirable 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with Department of Defense projects (e.g., USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC) is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong technical writing, communication, and data analysis skills Ability to interpret environmental chemistry and site data and apply sound judgment Familiarity with environmental regulations (federal, state, and local) Experience with GIS and data visualization tools is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and adaptability Willingness to travel, participate in safety training, and follow safety protocols Experience or interest in hydrogeologic evaluation and remediation system support (OM&M) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Professional certification or licensure (e.g., EIT, PG, or PE) is preferred, or progress toward obtaining such credentials. Security Clearance:Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered investigation.
