The Beach Chair Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to hotel guests utilizing complimentary beach chair rentals. This role includes managing the daily operation of the beach chair kiosk, ensuring the security of equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and accurately tracking inventory. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Guest Service and Operations: Welcome guests and manage the check-out and check-in process for complimentary beach chairs. Verify guest eligibility prior to issuing equipment. Accurately track and record the number of chairs issued to each guest, ensuring quantities do not exceed registered occupancy. Deliver exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner. Maintenance and Inventory: Open the beach chair kiosk daily at 9:00 AM and prepare for operations. Close the kiosk daily at 7:00 PM, ensuring all equipment and operations are properly secured. Clean and sanitize all beach chairs immediately upon return. Perform daily inventory checks to ensure all issued chairs are accounted for. Follow established procedures for reporting and charging for unreturned equipment. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kiosk and storage areas. Ensure storage areas are secured at all times, including during operating hours and at closing. Secure and return assigned keys and radio at the beginning and end of each shift. Safety and Security: Adhere to all hotel safety and security policies. Report any damaged equipment or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent prefferred Experience: No experience necessary; customer service or hospitality experience is a plus Skills: Strong attention to detail, particularly with inventory tracking Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts WORKING CONDITIONS: The working conditions described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
