Responsibilities of a KIPP Nashville Bus Monitor include, but are not limited to:Meet and greet visitors, staff, and students with a smile Ensure all students are seated, silent, and respectful throughout bus rides. Communicate disciplinary issues to the Dean of Students. Build positive and meaningful relationships with students and staff. Support the bus driver as directed. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Partial Listing of Minimum Qualifications: Holds successful experience with working with elementary and/or middle school aged children. Demonstrates a mature, calm and responsible attitude in dealing with the students, and has the ability to work cooperatively with other employees and the general public. Has considerable ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written), and to follow both oral and written instructions Qualifications. Desires excellence for themselves and others around them Expectations of KIPP Nashville bus drivers and support staff:Arrive at school by 5: 30 a.m. for the morning route. Arrive at school by 2:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. (depending on location) for the afternoon route. Ride the morning and afternoon routes Monday-Friday. Participate in professional development Supervision:Work is performed under the continuing supervision of the Director of Transportation.
