Event processing, adjudication, customer service, and various administrative duties for the unit. Specific duties include:Using automated enforcement software to retrieve, screen, and review images, videos, and computer records to determine probable cause and recommend cases for further action;Assisting the public with inquiries regarding their tickets, providing necessary customer service;Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and various other programs to support the program manager with administrative duties and record-keeping tasks;Preparing and presenting evidence and courtroom testimony for contested cases;Acting as a liaison between the Police Department and the vendor as needed; and. Performing various administrative assignments. The successful candidate will possess the following;Ability to work independently and manage various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment;Strong organizational skills, technological proficiency, and a high level of discretion;Strong verbal and written communication skills; and. Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and sensitivity, which is essential for maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with the public, departmental staff, and County personnel. Minimum:Completion of the requirements for graduation from a standard senior high school or vocational school, a GED certificate, or the equivalent; and. Some experience providing administrative support. Substitution: Successful completion of additional college coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the experience requirement. License/ Certification:Must obtain and maintain Special Conservator of the Peace Certification. Must obtain and maintain a Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) license for accessing records. Both of the above will be provided by the Department. Desirable: Preference may be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following:Interpreting and explaining legal concepts, doctrines, and codes. Providing significant administrative support for multiple executive-level staff members;Proficient in managing office systems and programs, delivering direct customer service such as routing and tracking requests, and maintaining accurate program data;Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite to draft, edit, and proofread reports, correspondence, and other documents that may be confidential or sensitive; and/or. Familiar with Microsoft 365 Applications, including SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, MS Power Platform, and other resource management system. Special Requirements. Polygraph/ Background Check: Due to the sensitive nature of this position, the Police Department will conduct pre-employment criminal records checks and polygraph examinations. It may include checks of the following: criminal record, driving record, education, professional licensure, character/background investigation, and credit history. You must sign a release authorizing the County to obtain your background information. EPI Assessment: To be considered for this position, you must achieve a passing score on the Employee Preferences Inventory (EPI) Assessment. Please note the following:If you have not taken the EPI within the past year, you will receive an email with instructions and a deadline for completing the assessment. If you have taken the EPI within the past year, your previous score will be used. Scores are valid for one calendar year. You cannot retake the assessment until one year has passed since your last attempt. Failure to complete the EPI by the deadline provided to you in email will disqualify you from this recruitment process.
