Assists with Pueblo County Youth Programs, Adult Programs, and Special Events located at Pueblo County Community Centers and multiple recreational areas throughout the year; responsible for all individuals in a program area and assists the participation of activities at the site as assigned by the supervisor. - - - - THIS POSTING MAY BE USED TO FILL MULTIPLE OPENINGS - - - - WHAT YOU WILL DO Assists in the operations of programs and events; establishes positive rapport with all participants in programs. Conducts inventory on recreational equipment and supplies; provides maintenance and repairs. Ensures accurate records and scorekeeping are maintained at all times. Assists with monitoring the day-to-day operations of recreational programs and centers. Prepares recreation programs and special events. Maintains the cleanliness of Community and Recreation Centers. Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job. WHAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE:6 months of recreational activities experience is preferred. NOTE: For preferred qualifications, the substitution of any combination of relevant and related education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability may be considered, including by way of example, specific experience or skill-based qualifications that may substitute for certain educational requirements, or a combination of relevant education and experience including supervisory experience. - - - Must successfully pass a background check.
