The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production machinery and equipment to support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. This position works independently or in small teams to ensure operations run smoothly and equipment uptime is maximized. Essential Functions. Perform timely repairs on production machinery and equipment. Complete preventative maintenance based on established schedules and guidelines. Report major equipment issues to the Mechanic Supervisor/ Manager. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when needed. Order and process replacement parts. Train machine operators on basic equipment care and troubleshooting. Perform facility maintenance tasks. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements. Education:High School Diploma or GED - Experience:Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment. Skills & Abilities:Ability to perform all essential maintenance duties effectively. Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Strong verbal communication skills. Commitment to providing excellent internal customer service. Knowledge of solid-state electronics and DC voltage. Certifications:None required. Language Skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, business documents, and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders.
