What you will be doing:As the Chief of Public Health Nursing, you will lead the statewide vision, strategy, and operations for Alaska’s largest public health nursing workforce. This role drives innovative initiatives, shapes policy, and guides the effective use of resources for more than 125 staff across the state. You will collaborate closely with Division leadership, legislators, and partner agencies to strengthen and modernize public health services. In this role, you will directly impact goals such as increasing immunization rates, reducing ST - Is and tobacco use, and improving community emergency preparedness. Special Notes:Candidates not currently licensed by the State of Alaska, who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alaska and requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities, may apply for vacancies in this job class.
