L Shadow a Group Leader to learn day-to-day leadership activities within the Paint and Body Shops l Support safety initiatives, including observing job hazard analyses, participating in safety walks, and reinforcing safe work behaviors l Assist with quality call response, learning how to identify issues, contain defects, and support root cause and corrective actions l Observe and support throughput management, including monitoring production flow, addressing constraints, and escalating issues appropriately l Learn manpower management, including staffing adjustments, task assignments, job rotations, and coordination with maintenance and support teams l Attend shift meetings, production reviews, and team huddles to understand escalation paths and decision-making expectations l Assist with basic data tracking and reporting related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity l Progressively take on increased responsibility, with the expectation of eventually running the production line independently under defined standard work and leadership expectations l Support continuous improvement activities and standard work adherence within assigned areas l Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and teamwork while interacting with hourly operators, skilled trades, engineers, and salaried leadership Education requirement: l Looking for candidates who are currently enrolled in education (close to graduating would be best). l Candidates previously from WKU (Western Kentucky University) no preference on what degree area they are obtaining l Years of experience, not targeting experience l Experience with excel, outlook, Microsoft office l They will get a lot of training on the job. l Worked on cars and problem solved, find the true root cause of the issue. l Soft skills – people skills, work with a variety of people, good communicator.
