JLL is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our facilities team supporting a premier pharmaceutical manufacturing campus in Andover, MA. In this critical role, you'll maintain the plumbing infrastructure across a 2.1 million square foot, 9 building GMP regulated facility, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. What your day to day will look like:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diverse plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drain, process piping, and steam/condensate lines throughout the campus. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, fixtures, valves, pumps, and relatedequipment using systematic diagnostic approaches to minimize downtime. Execute work orders through the CMMS platform, ensuring all maintenance documentation meets GMP standards and is completed accurately and on time. Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and building service requests, prioritizing issues based on operational impact and safety considerations. Read and interpret technical documentation including blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and specifications to plan and execute plumbing work effectively. Work within GMP guidelines while adhering to site SOPs, permit requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety protocols on every assignment. Coordinate with other trades (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) and external contractor teams to support integrated facility maintenance and project work. Participate in planned shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance events that support continuous facility improvement. Maintain exemplary cleanliness and housekeeping standards in all work areas, with particular attention to GMP-controlled and cleanroom environments. Required Qualifications:Valid Journeyman Plumber license in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain within specified timeframe). Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on plumbing experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities settings. Prior experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment—this is essential for success in this role. Demonstrated familiarity with SOPs, work order documentation systems, and regulated maintenance practices in controlled environments. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and respond quickly in a fast-paced, production-critical environment. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working on a large pharmaceutical campus or similar multi-building regulated manufacturing site. Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP PM, or similar computerized maintenance management systems. Hands-on experience with steam systems, process piping, laboratory utility systems, or clean utility distribution systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification demonstrating commitment to workplace safety. Experience with permit-to-work systems and hot work permits in regulated environments. Background working with validation protocols or supporting qualification activities (IQ/ OQ/ PQ). Knowledge of water system sanitization, testing, and quality monitoring procedures. Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance. Capability to work in various positions including standing, kneeling, crawling, and in confined spaces, as well as climb ladders and work from heights for extended periods. Location: Onsite. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position:85,280.00 – 93,600.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
