Prepares and files monthly, quarterly and annual (or as required) multi–state sales and use tax returns. Involved in month end closing. Prepares amended returns or refunds for sales tax credits. Monitors changes in sales and use tax laws and regulations in all states and ensures business is in tax compliance. Responsible for sales and use tax audits including gathering documentation, analyzing data, researching tax law and contesting the assessment of the audit. Audits accounts payable invoices for use tax compliance. Responds to tax authorities on tax notices and inquiries. Reviews and understands new products and customers and determines sales tax exemption applicability. Reconciles tax accounts to general ledger. Maintains tax codes assigned within vendor item master files. Assists other departments with sales and use tax-related questions. EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of experience 2 years of sales & use tax preparation and review experience preferred. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree In Accounting or CPA Eligible candidate. WORK SHIFT: Days (United States of America)LCMC Health is a community. Our people make health happen.
