The Manufacturing Training Specialist delivers hands-on, on-the-job training within assembly and production environments. This role supports employee certification, process compliance, and continuous improvement while fostering strong job relations and peer engagement on the shop floor. Essential Duties & Responsibilities. Deliver and assess training for multiple manufacturing processes (e.g., manual assembly, inspection, soldering, microscope-assisted assembly, automated systems). Maintain training records, certification documentation, and trainee performance tracking. Monitor trainee output and scrap; support retraining and recertification efforts. Perform routine process audits of personnel, tooling, and equipment; support corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards; train others on proper documentation and line clearance procedures. Compile and analyze data to support continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Training to improve work instructions and training materials. Communicate Engineering Change Orders (EC - Os) and Temporary Alerts to production. Identify and resolve routine manufacturing issues; escalate complex issues as needed. Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications. High school diploma or GED.2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, including work or lead direction responsibilities. Demonstrated manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Experience using standard hand tools in regulated manufacturing environments (medical or bio-device preferred). Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; must pass a reading comprehension assessment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback. Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, rotate jobs, and maintain regular attendance. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications. Experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing environments. Experience working in matrixed or cross-functional organizations.
