In this role, you will help re-platform WFG’s mission-critical systems to deliver a unified, intuitive experience for our field agents and home-office teams. Our engineering team is using modern development approaches including spec-driven development with Kiro as an AI coding assistant—so engineers spend less time on boilerplate and more time on great design, reliability, and impact. As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will build features using spec-driven development and Kiro as an AI coding partner. Job Description Responsibilities. Work collaboratively with other development staff, including contract and offshore Software Engineers, and business product owners in an agile environment. Code, test, identify, implement, and document solutions to business challenges utilizing web and cloud technologies. Use Kiro to generate scaffolding, tests, and documentation; learn to evaluate AI-generated code. Perform design and analysis for deliverables. Support analysis and general architectural design across platforms toward the development of end-to-end solutions. Utilize third-party software development frameworks, open-source libraries, and APIs to rapidly develop basic application solutions. Learn and keep pace with the latest advances in the field and rapidly grasp new technologies to support the environment and contribute to project deliverables. Participate in pairing, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions. ?Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent education/experience One year of Core JAVA or .NET experience Knowledge of coding platforms/frameworks (e.g. .NET/ C#, JAVA, OOD, OOP, Functional Programming, Spring Framework, J 2 EE Development, OOP, Service Oriented Architecture, Dependency Injection, Core Architecture Proficiency in database design techniques and philosophies (e.g. RDBMS, Document, NoSQL) Understanding of core cloud services (e.g. AWS/ Azure) such as EC 2, ECS, S 3, Kinesis, Lambda, etc. Experience with core development and continuous delivery tools (e.g. Visual Studio, Git/ Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, SQL Management Studio) Knowledge of Microservices and REST based API development (e.g. Spring Boot, Swagger, .NET API 2, .NET API Core) Attention to detail and results oriented, with a strong customer focus Analytical, problem-solving and time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications. Working knowledge of cloud services (e.g. AWS, Microsoft) Understanding of .Net for conversion Understanding of data mappings and ETL Knowledge of the financial services industry ?Working Conditions. Compensation. The Salary for this position generally ranges between $73,000 - $93,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/ Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO).
