Perform structural analysis engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft and spacecraft products and components. Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture. Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. Evaluate and continuously improve engineering processes. Ensure engineering processes conform to engineering principles, customer requirements, regulations, and quality standards. Multiple positions available. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering field and at least three (3) years of experience as a Structural Analysis Engineer or related position, as well as three years of experience in each of the following:Conducting stress analysis by measuring fatigue, corrosion, static, material strength, and repair techniques;Complying with Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directives and Code of Federal Regulations;Conducting finite element modeling analysis using NASTRAN or PATRAN;Analyzing original production designs such as stress loads and strength check notes; and. Conducting and developing damage tolerance analysis threshold requirements for structural repairs. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering field and five (5) years of experience as a Structural Analysis Engineer or related position, as well as five years of experience in each of the following:Conducting stress analysis by measuring fatigue, corrosion, static, material strength, and repair techniques;Complying with Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directives and Code of Federal Regulations;Conducting finite element modeling analysis using NASTRAN or PATRAN;Analyzing original production designs such as stress loads and strength check notes; and. Conducting and developing damage tolerance analysis threshold requirements for structural repairs. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
