JOB SUMMARY - Performs variety of routine manual and non-technical tasks in research laboratory. Performs simplest and most routine tasks involved in elementary laboratory procedures. Candidate will prepare lab equipment and materials before experiments; clean and maintain lab tools, glassware, and workspace; and, organize materials and keep inventory stocked. Experience. No experience required. JOB DUTIES - Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment such as slides, pipettes, culture dishes, test tubes, and other similar items. Prepares more routine chemical solutions such as formalin, saline, alcohol, etc. Makes up specimen sets for variety of laboratory procedures in accordance with specific and detailed instructions. Maintains laboratory supplies in neat and orderly condition. Cleans, dusts, and mops laboratory counters, floors, sinks, and related work areas. Operates sterilizers, autoclaves, and other simple laboratory equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT - Security.
