Report all work orders as needed, will be cross-trained in learning all buildings. Collect trash, glass and recyclables on a daily basis. Clean and maintain buildings, which include offices, labs and common areas. Will perform other related functions as assigned. Participate in the preparation of auditorium and/or other meeting areas for public programs, and for student/faculty functions. Assists in setting up receptions, banquets or other related events. Assists in cleaning up after functions as well. Clean offices/labs (includes dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows and glass, baseboards, walls, and any other surface as needed)Clean bathrooms (includes urinals, toilets, sinks, counter tops), replacing any supplies needed. Required Qualifications. High school diploma or equivalent. Be able to use basic janitorial equipment, including but not limited to: vacuums, floor buffers, high-speed burnishers. Must be willing to learn and take directions and have attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50 lbs 6 months of experience. Preferred Qualifications. At least a year of custodial experience. Texas TABC and Texas food handlers card. Driving Required. This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing). Salary Range $34,000 depending on qualifications.
