Dr. Jessica Grady (Associate Professor in the Psychology Department) is seeking research assistants for the toddler emotions and relationships study. Research assistants will support the day-to-day needs of this study under the direction of Dr. Grady. Activities will include assisting with recruitment efforts to identify parents of toddlers who may be interested in participating in the study, enacting the role of an experimenter during study visits, and implementing behavior coding schemes of toddler and parent behaviors. Research assistants must be able to participate in study tasks in person (Luek Hall, Millersville University campus) for 10 weeks for 12 hours/week. Anticipated start date is mid/late May and the position may continue up to the start of the Fall 2026 term. Clearances are required. Required Qualifications Completed coursework in research methods or child development. Completed CITI training for ethics in research with human subjects. Preferred Qualifications Prior research experience in the toddler emotions and relationships study Prior experience working with young children or families Job Duties Assist in study visits with toddlers and their parent in the Psychology Department Research Suite in Luek Hall on Millersville University’s campus. Collaborate as part of a research team to develop and implement behavior coding systems to understand toddler emotions and relationships. Assist in recruitment efforts to invite parents of toddlers to participate in the study. Adhere to the IRB protocol for the toddler emotions and relationships study in the implementation of these duties.
