Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology (one-year)

The Biology Department at Gannon University is accepting applications for a nine-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. We seek a broadly trained biologist to join our existing faculty in providing high-quality instructional experiences to undergraduate students. Preference will be given to candidates currently holding a PhD. and those with previous teaching experience. Candidates who are ABD and will receive their degree before June 30, 2026 will be considered. The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours in the academic year (lectures = 3 credits, labs = 2 credits), including courses in our introductory majors’ sequence (cell/molecular and organismal courses), upper-level electives in their field(s) of expertise, and other courses in the curriculum as needed. Preference will be given to individuals who can teach anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and/or upper-level molecular biology lecture and lab courses to science and health science majors.
