\n\n. Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.\n. Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.\n. Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including \"4 second rule\") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.\n. Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and\/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.\n. Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and\/or plants.\n. Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.\n. Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.\n. Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and\/or directed.\n. Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.\n. Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.\n. Ensures truck is fueled each night.\n. Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.\n. Maintains and promotes Company's philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.\n\n. Requirements :\n\n. Must have a CDL Class A.\n. Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.\n. Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.\n. Ability to work as part of a team.\n. Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.\n. Ability to travel to various worksites.\n. Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.\n\n.
