Schedule: 3 X 12 Hour Shifts 6 p - 6 a. Location: 2300 N Orange Ave, Orlando FL32804 (coverage to include 4 locations)Performs quality sleep recordings by collecting, analyzing, and integrating pertinent patient history information, preparing the patient, conducting the examination, and preparing the recording for physician interpretation. Implements appropriate interventions for patient safety and therapeutic needs, including continuous and/or bi-level positive airway pressure (PAP) and Oxygen administration. Informs the nursing supervisor and/or physician of changes in the patients condition or abnormalities on the recording when necessary. Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and ensures an orderly and efficient system for storage and retrieval of patient information. Provides patient education according to established guidelines. Accurately documents, posts, and charges for procedures to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital. Actively supports and participates in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives. Participates in process or performance improvement teams and proactively initiates process improvement ideas. Adheres to hospital infection control and safety standards and ensures equipment is in good working condition, initiating repairs when required. Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and provides clear reports to communicate patient care information. Maintains a professional relationship with all customers and ensures the confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information. Demonstrates core values of integrity, compassion, balance, excellence, stewardship, and teamwork, and adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting bodies. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of sleep procedures and equipment. [Required] Excellent communication skills. [Required] Ability to closely observe sleep tracing and respond appropriately to seizure activity and other abnormalities; [Required] Ability to prepare and calibrate equipment to determine proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary. [Required] Ability to apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards. [Required] Proficient performance of physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals. [Required] Working knowledge of proper positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting and Titration.
