This part-time Finance Associate role supports a small, collaborative accounting team within a mission-driven organization of approximately 60 employees. The position is ideal for someone with hands-on accounting experience who can manage daily transactional work, assist with grant-related activity, and support system implementations. The team is seeking a versatile professional who can work independently with minimal training and adapt to changing priorities. JOB DETAILS: - Pay: $25-$30 /hour depending on experience - Schedule: Part-time, 20-30 hours/week; Monday-Wednesday preferred with flexibility - Location: Downtown Minneapolis; onsite to start with potential for hybrid over time - Parking onsite is fully covered by vouchers in Buildings attached garage - Contract role - 9-10 months - until March 2027 - Parking fully reimbursed, including contractor parking (attached parking ramp) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Enter and process gifts, contributions, and financial transactions - Support accounts payable processing and related accounting tasks - Assist with grant accounting activities as applicable - Provide support during finance system transitions and new software rollouts - Work across multiple accounting areas to supporting a small finance team. - Maintain accurate financial records and support daily finance operations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Associate Degree Required or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) - 2 years of relevant accounting experience - Experience with SAP Concur, Stellar i. Phi or Salesforce preferred - Strong hands-on accounting skills with the ability to work independently - Experience entering gifts, managing transactional accounting, and supporting multiple finance functions preferred - Exposure to grant accounting preferred - Experience with accounting or donor management systems such as Give Interactive, i. Phi, or similar platforms - Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment and support system implementations - Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred
