We’re looking for a Manager, Strategic Operations to help us scale Uber’s global merchant self-serve business—one of the largest and highest potential acquisition channels in the Delivery business. In this role, you will help define and drive the strategy to rapidly scale merchant acquisition and strengthen onboarding and engagement through a combination of product-led growth, sales and operational improvements, performance marketing, and pricing and promotions. You will partner with Regional Operations, Marketing, Product, and Commercial Operations teams, including influencing the product vision to simplify and automate the merchant journey while evolving sales, operations, and support models to align with increasing automation. Success will require a blend of business acumen, data-driven storytelling, and stakeholder management skills. This is a hybrid role - our team collaborates in-person out of our incredible office in New York City 3 days/week. We encourage our employees to work from our office on additional days if they desire to do so. - - What You’ll Do - - - Define the growth strategy for the Delivery Self Serve merchant acquisition and engagement engine - Drive execution of strategic initiatives across Product, Sales, Marketing, Support, Sales operations, etc, to deliver a best in class self-serve experiences for Uber merchants - Harness your analytical skills to monitor performance and uncover actionable insights that shape strategy and drive decision-making - Partner with Product to drive automation and enhancement of the end-to-end self-serve experience. Represent the voice of the customer with insights based on merchant research and feedback. Drive continuous alignment between tech and business priorities - Work closely with Marketing to define success criteria, targeting requirements, and ROI methodology to inform digital acquisition and engagement campaigns, optimizing funnel efficiency and retention - - Basic Qualifications - - - 6 years of experience in strategy, operations, project/program management, or related field - Proficiency in SQL (or similar query language) and Excel or G - Sheets - Bachelor’s degree - - Preferred Qualifications - - - Analytical thinker, with experience using data to drive business decisions - Prior experience partnering closely with Tech teams to inform strategic roadmaps and review PRDs - Strong business acumen, with experience evaluating a line of business and understanding how to drive growth - Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience managing meetings and presentations with senior leaders - Strong organization and project management skills, including ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects and processes simultaneously - Comfort addressing ambiguity, for example, shifting priorities or unfamiliar problems
