Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Observes production or monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Fills in for the Compound Machine Operator during their absence, including performing machine start-up /shutdown, quality checks, and become familiar with material changeovers. Weighs, measures, and loads ingredients and checks mixture for specified consistency. Adds or mixes chemicals or ingredients for processing. Check product quality on extruder. Completed PM as necessary. Maintains a safe and clean work environment, while adhering to the principles of First in First Out (FIFO) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent Safety and Attendance Record Know and be able to follow OSHA safety standards related to job?Basic reading, writing and numerical ability Ability to communicate with proper personnel when changes or problems occur Flexible to work overtime as needed. Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with minimum supervision ??Ability to work as a team player OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Production experience preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
