Responsible for receiving and distributing supplies to hospital departments. Distributes equipment to requesting departments. Education. High School Diploma or GED - ExperienceOne year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures. Licenses & Certifications - DRIVER'S LICENSE - Qualifications - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other members of the hospital staff. - Ability to learn new procedures and execute them in an accurate manner within prescribed deadlines. - Good mathematical skills. - Neat and professional appearance. - Previous central services experience preferred or one year experience in any of the following areas: storeroom, hospital or clerical work. Area of Responsibilities - Coordinates activities specific to Higgins such as: Community Activities (school supplies, Christmas adopted families), Quarterly Employee Recognition, Volunteer activities, Meal Tickets, Vendormate equipment maintenance, issuing hospital camera, credit card purchases (tracks/reconciles), physician office deliveries, pest control, trash pickup and mat cleaning services. - Coordinates safety check for new equipment and assigns fixed asset number. Issues equipment, verifies charges, and conducts daily rounds to ensure adequate equipment. Monitors/tracks borrowed equipment. - Performs other duties such as scanning, entering data into inventory system, and cleaning department. Maintains a clean Pyxis supply station and work area. Generates and delivers lost charge reports weekly to designated floors and/or daily rejections report. - Provides supply replenishment to carts and Pyxis cabinets. If required acquires supplies from other facilities, drug stores, or home health. Reconciles patient charges and places tags on patient chargeable supplies. Conducts physical inventory on scheduled basis (weekly, annual). - Stocks, rotates and reorders chargeable and non-chargeable supplies. - Maintains Communications Board for department. - Maintains strong customer service relationships with departmental co-workers and other hospital staff. - Receives supplies and works with appropriate staff to reconcile discrepancies. - Responsible for delivering interoffice mail and other courier items to appropriate departments. Responsible for preparing outbound UPS shipments. Compliance Statement. Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline. Education. Minor physical effort - Job requires person to stand and/or walk frequently. Lifts, carries, or uses lightweight (1 to 25 lbs.) materials or equipment less than half of the day. Works in reaching or strained position intermittently. Office or laboratory work requires close visual effort less than half of day. Office or Laboratory work with concentration on a monotonous, repetitious procedure or skill most of day, where speed and accuracy are essential. Working Conditions.
