DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on supporting the management of statewide grant programs and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. It involves reviewing applications, monitoring program activities and assisting with reports and communication. As an Administrative Officer 2, you will perform the following duties:Grant Oversight: Review grant applications, update program materials and monitor participant activities. Financial Tracking: Monitor award balances and prepare status and financial reports for assigned programs. Reimbursement Review: Analyze reimbursement requests, verify documentation and maintain required records. Agreement Management: Draft grant agreements, follow approval steps and issue completed agreements to subrecipients. Communication Support: Prepare correspondence and respond to inquiries about program requirements and activities. Training Assistance: Assist in planning or delivering training related to grant program duties. Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of a training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will receive the minimum starting salary listed on this posting. The starting salary is non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or. Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or. Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
